Release of BF3 and Server

Battleifield 3 is now officially released. All the bugs have been hammered out and the games looks pretty sick. Try to download the game early as download speeds could falter as more and more people begin to download. For the people smart enough to pre-order; you're all ready to play. But which server should you play on...

OURS OF COURSE

Our 60 man server is up and running on all the default conquest maps. In the next few days we'll be fine tuning the map rotation and any other game settings to make the server standout and more enjoyable. In the mean time, enjoy the server and post any suggestions you may have in the suggestion forums.

As an extra note, we're also seeking game administrators. Just head on over to the game administration topic recruitment by clicking HERE and feel free to fill out an application.

Battlefield 3, Server, and Upcoming Competitions

Battlefield 3 Release

Most of us are gearing up for the upcoming release of Battlefield 3 on October 25th. It's one of the most anticipated games of this year, and with good reason. If you haven't looked into or read up on Battlefield 3, then just take a look at EA's Official Website. If you didn't know, Battlefield 3 is currently in the open beta testing phase, so anyone can participate by downloading EA's Origin. Also, Battlefield 3 is not expected to be on Steam due to each companies opposing conflicts. You'll have to get your copy at the stores or you can get the virtual copy from EA's Origin.

Battlefield 3 Server:

Here at Moderntopia, we plan on putting a lot of our effort into Battlefield 3. We have pre-ordered a 60 man server, nearly the maximum amount of players allotted. We'll be updating the forums in the following weeks with admin and other staff oriented positions to assist in maintaining and keeping the server running; so stay tuned if you're interested.

We're hoping that by releasing the server the day the games released, we may be able to snatch a good influx of players by being one of the first servers to be launched. If you have any suggestions for the server, then please do not hesitate to use the suggestion forum within the main Battlefield 3 secition forums on our website.

Competitions and Prizes:

After the release, follow the forums closely because we plan on releasing a competition which will offer a prize to the winner. We're not exactly sure on what the prize will be, but you can be assured that it will be something decent (maybe a game..). The first competition will go for a month and will be based on our Battlefield 3 server and the object of the competition will be to hold first place on our stats tracker for one whole month. There will be another post following this, so stay tuned.
